The characteristics of insects are:

INSECT CHARACTERISTICS

- They have three parts to the body: the head, the thorax, and the abdomen

- They have three pairs of legs attached to the thorax

- They may have 0, 1 or 2 pairs of wings

Now study the list of animals below and decide if they are insects or not. In each case give one reason for your answer.
